I regret to report the unexpected passing of our dear friend, Shelby the turtle. She was laid to rest under one of the big rocks in a quiet part of the new backyard this evening; that way, Mocha wont dig her up. Shelby was a therapy pet of sorts...keeping my students engaged and helping homesick children at Clear Creek. In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting Diet Coke and dark chocolate to aid in the grieving process.
