I remember days like this as I used to walk home to my parents house on Madison Ave, in Burlington, Iowa. I was teaching 3rd grade at Perkins Elementary and my mom was caring for our son, Jon Jon. It was the last year I taught in a classroom. I stayed home to take care of my family. I still believe in this. Its best when some member of the family cares for the young ones. I later tutored mostly math and chemistry full time so I could be there for my husband and child….. What does this have to do with fall pictures, it was during these walks I decided I was a wife and mother first….. Teaching was very important, but I figured there must be away to be home at the same time…… When Jack and Sami were small and needed a member of the family to help care for them, I chose to do this, and forget tutoring/teaching anybody but them. I soon will be ready, God Willing, to help a few that need help other than Jack and Sami until the Lord takes me Home.
