I remember when FA World was an email listserv that was ever so slightly moderated. Press releases werent allowed. It was meant for discussion of professionals in the world music field. Now its a Facebook page where the large majority of posts are about concerts or releases or radio shows. Since the concerts are worldwide, do you think it really is relevant to other members who are generally based in a single city? Does anyone get much out of the incoming posts or only out of the theoretical impact of the outgoing posts? Does FA World on Facebook create or support a community? Or has the transition from a moderated listserv to a Facebook group killed it?
