I remembered September 11 vividly as I was clued to the TV for ten hours non- stop right into the night as two planes crashed into the world trade centre. I sensed something serious brewing in the air like nothing before and realised that the world would never be the same. Terrorism took central stage that day and what irked me was the massive security loopholes at the airport and flight training schools. It was like Pearl Harbour all over again - what they never anticipated happened. For all that they have planned during anti-terrorism exercises , security agencies never imagine that planes would be crashing into skyscrapers! It was probably too cruel and far-fetched. Stocks crashed the next day and I just got back from abroad after a short study stint. Not surprisingly, the economy nosedived afterwards and I was jobless for 18 months. It was a tough journey for many people during that period and my dream is for everyone to accept one another and for world peace to reign. No more innocent lives lost to terrorism...
