I sat in the pitch blackness last night and as I did I was - TopicsExpress

I sat in the pitch blackness last night and as I did I was reminded that the lights in the Universe are the memories of our history. As I sat and as the wind closed in on me I remembered you and I felt you and I could hear your breath and see the edges of your face. Your blue, blue eyes and your delicate hands with their fine lines and your fabulous rings. It was very dark and there was a glow around the moon that shone a beam of light across my knees and I realized I was sitting in the present as the history of the past floated above me. Living in the liminal space of now and before, I feel you are close and I feel you are shining just as brightly as when you were here. You are in the stars so you cannot go far. In the deep darkness of that decade of great loss and glorious beauty, your vessel racked with the Plague that took us all by surprise; the wreckage of a thousand lives littered the streets and covered us all in a sheet of bloody black with no cure and little compassion. But now, today... I can sit in the darkness and look up and receive the history of you. The present tense of you. The kindness and the rage and the release and the silliness and the bravery of you. For even in the vast nothingness there is great possibility.
