I saw American Sniper tonight with one of my very best friends. - TopicsExpress

I saw American Sniper tonight with one of my very best friends. Before I post my thoughts, Im going to preface by saying if you dare hijack this post or make derogatory marks regarding Chris Kyle, our military, etc., I will delete your ass faster than you can say hero. I dont care who you are. Chris Kyle was the epitome of a soldier. He embodies the passion and call to duty that a man or woman must have in order to willingly lay their life on the line day in and day out. He was a caretaker of his fellow soldiers, of his country, of each and everyone of us. He was skilled at what he did. He saved men in country and did his best to save the ones who came home battered and broken. This movie portrayed him well. Clint Eastwood did one hell of a job. I held it together so good until the end. As the credits rolled and the footage of the motorcade to Chris Kyles funeral was shown, I had two people weighing heavily on my heart and mind, you, Brenda Shelton-Metcalf Gsm, and your son, Ben. This movie might be about Chris, but its also about every man and woman who have served...past, present and future. The ones who gave a piece of themselves, their very lives, and the families who love them. Our nation owes them a debt Im certain we can never repay. Thank you to them all. The tears I shed were for them ALL. God bless America and the men and women who protect her.
