I saw most of the new Lone Ranger movie on Wednesday, it was close to the climax when the power in the movie went out due to the big storms here in Pittsburgh, so I saw enough to say it is a lot of fun to and has a good positive message for kids: you can’t trust the government to solve problems because most government officials are crooks, there can’t be rule of law when the federal government on the frontier (the U.S. Army) and big business (the crony capitalist railroad baron) are joined together, and they have the support of the public by appealing to their greed. The only way to fight them, the Ranger tells Tonto, is to fight them as outlaws outside the system. So he puts on a gun belt and his mask, the mask and becomes an outlaw for justice. Shows that even in Obama’s America there are still voices calling for justice. Take your kids to see this one. I hope to see the end of it myself soon. Hi ho Silver, away!
