I see a lot of people kissing goodbye today to 2014 that are happy to see the end of the year chalking up personal problems, financial worries, grim news internationally and certainly the loss of friends over this year to the last twelve months. I feel bad because reciprocally, my 2014 was pretty terrific. Does this mean Im the Anti-Christ or something? I mean, Im told the red hair always made me a potential candidate... All kidding aside, Im not oblivious to the state of the world, or even the absence of some people sadly no longer here who I might have otherwise said happy new year to this evening. So, good luck to everybody in 2015. One way or the other, were all gonna need it. In the meantime, if you feel like drinking with the devil, Ill be down at the Hotel Vancouver emceeing with a few jokes and history banter, the Rich Hope, Pandora and The Locksmiths, Mac Pontiac show in the Pacific Ballroom. By midnight, with gin in hand and tie undone, I reckon I should look like Jerry Lewis after staying up for the whole two days of the labour day telethon. Happy New year to all in and out of town here, youre all good souls - worth probably both saving and buying. And like Uncle Bill says, take that as a compliment.
