I share the nations thoughts and reflections on The Great War. The event should stand as a reminder for generations to come of the futility or war. Some will argue, it was a necessary war. I would argue that war is never necessary and the only true beneficiaries are the ruling and elite classs. While we pause for reflection, on an event that happened 100 years ago... will we pause and reflect also on how our government has, is, and will be pumping billions of pounds (gleaned from our taxable incomes) in military aid to Israel, one of the richest nations on the planet, to further a genocide in spite of the fact that after the last world war, we seemed to vow - Never again? Remembrance is one thing but to bow ones head for the dead while turning a blind eye to the dying just is pure, pointless, idiotic, hypocrisy. If you do have any heart in you and believe in this nationally promoted ideal, please tell our country/ government, by way of indignation and protest, be it physical, vocal or written, that we cease to arm the Israeli genocide of the Palestinian people, trapped in the worlds largest concentration camp. Remember the fallen and recognize the falling.
