Should all private schools have a common uniform..? Our education system ... When govt schools in madhya pradesh can have a uniform code why cant private school follow the rule ? Simply because if enforced strictly, how would the elite businessmen directors of such schools mint money from the helpless parents who in order to compete with the society are forced to seek admission in such schools. When you put your ward in nursery or L.KG you never know what shape will your ward take on completing education from such school. The main criterion on which a parents select the school is mainly dependant on neighbours or friends or relatives opinion. They just forgot to evaluate their wards ability or inborn quality before thinking of competing with the society. Can anyone guarantee that a student studying in the best school of india becomes a good businessmen or class one officer or an executive in private sector , i think the answer is a big NO.. Because had it been true every parent by hook or crook would have managed to send their ward to such schools...the statistics show that the loan procured for the purpose of education at primary levels is miniscule as compared to those seeking loan for higher education. Moreover the govt has not initiated any educational loan scheme for primary levels or for those parents seeking to educate their childrens in famous schools. This clearly means that the percentage of such parents for whom primary education does not mean much is much higher than compared to those who need such institutions. But still many parents would want their children to study in best schools of the city and they substantiate their wish by quoting a standard phrase hume to acha education nai mila lekin hum apne bache ko wo dena chahte he jo hume nai mila . This is this emotional feeling of the parents which private schools are playing with and extracting loads of money from them.. Once the ward is inducted the authorities hand over a long list of books ,uniform along with a nicely printed fee book which carries description of lot of funds which has nothing to do with education .one of those is building fund , i fail to understand why and how can the authorities charge building fund from students and whether the student after passing from such school becomes a partner or stake holder of that building .If not why do they charge building fund from students. The society which runs the school has to invest the money and the profit which they are reaping in remains the property of the trust , then why such funds ? By the controlled regulations and parents regular complaints the school authorities have refrained from giving the shops name from which the books and uniform has to be bought but as rightly said the loopholes come first and then only laws are enacted. They have found many loopholes to this solution also, They would give the list of books with a particular publishers name which will be available in one particular shop, so their wishes are fulfilled and the dealer would part handsome commission to the trust.I fail to understand how would an alphabetical book make difference if published by two different authors. Similiar is the case with uniforms the authorities will not tell any particular shops name but they will make sure that the parent purchases dresses from that shop only by making minor changes like for eg some schools insist printing of schools name on buttons of shirts. How can it make any difference if plane buttons are used. A student wears seperate uniform in different days in a week which works out to be 3-4 pairs of different uniforms one regular ,one white ,one track suit, one ncc ,one on sports day, one on annual day . How ridiculous is this ? Cant we bring a change to this type of culture ? Cant we manage with one set of uniform, may be with different type of badges for different houses ? Why cant we stress on improving education system where in children do not compare themselves on basis of schools but develop a habit of competing with oneself . Why cant we have a system where children should be educated on the basis of their interests.? Why cant we have a system where childrens are taught to dream big and make ambitions at school level itself, why childrens have to depend upon parents or consultants to pave out their future ? Definitely we can and for that we need not come.from big school , only determination is needed. Somebody told me a simple calculation which if we could do without bothering about the society we can put a ban on such malpractices. He asked me to imagine a parent starting recurrent deposit of the money spent from the first month of wards education till the end of his or her education , the.amount accumulated would be mind boggling and would be.much higher than he or she can earn in alife time.... otions and helplessness of
