I sometimes wonder where my day goes working at TLG. From the - TopicsExpress

I sometimes wonder where my day goes working at TLG. From the moment I wake up its full steam ahead. I was thinking of purchasing a loud speaker to rouse the children out of bed on chilly mornings. But I found who wants pancakes for breakfast? worked much better - down side was I had to make pancakes and not being a morning person myself practically near killed me. Dramatic yes, but Im convinced an allergy to Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and on suspicion, Fridays, runs in my family medical history....somewhere. Usually, around 7ish, I receive a text from Greg (who is out the door before the sun rises, picking up produce) and it reads along the lines of: good morning heavenly creature, love you, please drink coffee first before you tell the children theyre adopted. Oh, hes good. The next hour is a bustling of small bodies preparing for school with questions fired into the air by me; Ned, wheres your lunch box? Bay, did you brush your teeth? Millicent for the love of God, stop antagonising your brothers. Bay, did you brush your teeth? Who moved my car keys? What do you mean your heads itchy? Finally, the house is quiet and I spend the rest of the morning working with purpose; talking to our growers, farmers and suppliers, firing off emails, researching and getting jiggy with it. The afternoon sees me turning a blind eye to housework until I throw my arms up in the air and yell ALLRIGHT! ILL DO A LOAD OF WASHING OKAY? to no one in particular and more in appeasing my guilt. Soon, far, far too soon, its time to pick up the kids from school and I prepare myself mentally for the onslaught of afternoon hunger, homework, the barrage of questions, dinner and the need to hang out bathers and wet towels in preparation for yet another round of swimming lessons tomorrow. I know so many of you can relate to this. Mary :-)
