I spent Father’s Day with my beloved wife (we got together with our family yesterday). Sue has had a tough time lately. She dropped something on her foot and it swelled up causing her pain for days. But it was finally coming right and we were having a great day together. However, when our dog got under her feet and caused her to stumble, I became indignant, ushered him out of the kitchen as a protective husband, then went back to drying the dishes. No dumb dog is going to ruin her day. About 15 seconds later I dropped a pot lid on her bare foot. The other one, that is. Swell time.
