I spoke with Don Warren this morning. Hell be out of town but is allowing me to bid on his behalf. I asked him about progress with the City and that Kelly had posted about the meeting this morning with possible signage put on the roads and he let me know that the cycling committee will be handling all things cycling related with the City and that they would have more answers than he would about progress. This includes signage and anything done in the schools. Many of you know who is on this committee, but in case you do not, here is the list - this was taken from the email Don Warren sent me. Hi Cori, I talked to Mayor Hines this morning and the cyclists committee consists of the following people: Dr. Mike Metke (president of TJC), Tyler Simpson, Stephanie Rollings and the current president of the Tyler Bike Club (Kelly Boucher). Mayor Hines will be meeting with them as well. Just wanted to keep you in the loop. Its great that we have a committee that has cyclists on it representing us. I do not have any details on what they have in the works and Kelly posts meetings and such to both TBC and the Bicycle Advocacy page. If this is something you are interested in staying informed about, please attend meetings if you can. I will post information as I am able to get it. Im hoping we can all stay informed on progress.
