I stupidly left a bucket of yellow paint in the coop. After the rain I went out to get some painting done. Opened the door and Tara waddled out with paint splashes on him. Then I realized the newly painted door was also covered. Stepped inside and there is yellow paint everywhere, and realized MegaChick is submerged in the blucket, only her head peeking out. Got a towel, picked her up, and ran to the house. Not one spot on her was without paint, including her eyes. I wasnt even sure which chicken she was. Nearly an hour in the tub I moved her to kitchen sink to soak her better, where she layed her egg. I was pretty sure she wasnt going to make by the way she was so limp. Wrapped her in a blanket and held her for 2 hours trying to feed, and comfort the poor girl. She was sleeping on my chest and I dozed off too. Woke up to her standing up pecking my shirt with her face next to mine. Took her back out to her flock and she seems ok now. Every one of them had paint on them :/ learned my lesson :)
