I sure am glad that I live in a neighborhood that is wild horse friendly. If people around here dont want the horses on their property, they simply shut their gates. For us, if we were overly concerned about them, wed put a fence around our property. The fact however is that it is fascinating to watch their social order in the bands, how each horse plays a part in the family structure, how they have their little arguments and tiffs sometimes, and then how they rely on one another for different things such as playing, social grooming, leading the way, watching for danger, and also how they react to various weather changes, the seasons changing, domestic horses, peoples dogs, etc. They are very adaptable, they roll with the punches because they have to, they are hardy and tough, intelligent, sturdy, practical-minded, they have very deep family and hierarchal bonds, and their bands and social order are one of natures most fabulous works of art..... I for one am honored and humbled to be a part of watching and learning from the wild, and also the domestic horses, each and every day, and that they include me in their lives by just being who they are in their wonderful natural way...........
