I tend to avoid reading more than seek it out. I tend to avoid - TopicsExpress

I tend to avoid reading more than seek it out. I tend to avoid knowing great thinkers and their thoughts as opposed to being versed. Someone showed me a funny article on faking understanding Hegel. I became curious and looked into Hegels notions. Very quickly the following sequence took place. I found his notions self evident. I found that I might find an external source validating my own conclusions. I found that my conclusions were likely influenced by the influence Hegel has had on general thought and society and whatever caused him to think what he thought. I became excited to learn more and discuss these things. I realized I can never do those things - ever. It would be alienating, pretentious, and hopeless. It is better to never read and to never know the names or schools of thought associated with philosophy. XD
