I think I annoyed some folks with my posts about the kittens. Let me just say, for me every life is precious and there for a reason. I dont know why those little lives came into this world, and I dont know why they left so quickly. But I do know that forever more they will be in my heart. Shade will always be their Mom, my mother will always be their Granny. For a few hours we were allowed the privilege of holding, kissing, and loving on them. Of course they arent human children, I know how it feels to lose one of those, too, and no, its not the same. But its still a life that wont grow up, know the earth as we do, and enjoy its pleasures and tragedies. It still breaks my heart and hurts like hell. Perhaps these things happen to let us know just how grateful we should be for our lives. I wouldnt go back and change things now, because they were innocent beings who touched us so deeply we will never be the same again. And Shade would have died in the wild, so we saved her life. For that Im proud! She is a child to my Mom, and a sibling to the rest of us. She brings joy into our house and even when shes mean, shes showing us that even little animals can get attitudes and be annoyed! Yet she can love us, too. Our last baby went home to be with her siblings about two hours ago. I called him Moonie, the only one we named. We will bury him in the back yard and he will be in the sunshine and rain, and he will remind us every day to enjoy life because its amazing and a privilege to be here. So many dont make it! Peace and joy to you all. And for those annoyed, de friend me and go play in someone elses backyard!
