I think I finally found the meaning of life: just got back from playing catch with a father and 11-year-old son who invited me to join. Dad was rocking the classic khaki shorts, polo shirt, baseball hat, and ray bans. Son was wearing a baseball jersey that ran down to his knees and a cap with the brim reaching his nose. Afterward Dad was beaming with pride at how good Son’s curveball was looking, and Son begged Dad to take us to Dairy Queen so that Son could buy us ice cream using the money that the Tooth Fairy gave him last night. Nostalgia at its finest – my only regret is that that boy will grow up a Cubs fan…
