I think Tina Turner said it best when she sang... left a good job in the city working for the man every night and day After 15 Years, July 31st will be my last day with USAA. It was not an easy decision and not one I wanted to make but I had to Make. Apparently for most of my life Ive had an Autoimmune Arthritis. Long story short... My Immune System attacks a protein in my joints which causes according to the Doctor Inflammatory PolyArthritis. Ive been miserable all year and its finally taken its toll on me physically. Dr said I have to reduce stress because (shocking), stress causing your Immune System to go wonky (clinical term) ;-} The Osteoarthritis that led to my knee replacement was the physical cover for what was really going on. Apparently when you take away your Immune Systems toy it really shows you whos in charge!! For all these years the effects of this disease were taken out on my left knee, when I fixed that my immune system attacked everywhere. So we decided its time for me to take care of myself and stay home for a while until I get this under control. Im grateful for the years Ive been at USAA and Ive made many many friends, which I hope to stay in touch with! There is a going away party scheduled after hours on 8/1, stay tuned for more details.
