I think at this point, we have to commit to vote against every single incumbant in the House, Senate, and White House, dont we? I dont think we know enough to accurately assess blame; therefore, to some extent, dont we vote everyone out because thats the only recourse we have? It is correct to say that the incumbant, whoever that might be, has more to do with the shutdown than a newly elected individual, right? If everyone blames the opposing party, then no one will change their votes and there is little incentive for any federal politician to act in any way other than as a petulant child. How else do you convey to a group that this simply cannot happen under any circumstances. There should be a line in the sand. You cant use the shutdown as a bargaining point for unrelated items. Im speaking to both sides on this point (Democrats tried to leverage the shutdown into cut-backs on next years scheduled sequestration). Unless the challenging representative is a tried and convicted murderer, I will not vote for any incumbant.
