I think its a good idea; put a GPS locator in every gun, and a transmitter that sends to a database every time its fired (via the same network that cell phones use.) Fine, you SAY youre a responsible gun owner and the weapon will never be used in a crime - then this measure shouldnt bother you. Remember when the SAME people on the right were trying to justify massive illegal surveillance by the state? If youve got nothing to hide, you shouldnt be concerned. If you think that makes sense and this doesnt, you must also think that talking on the phone is more dangerous than using a firearm. If you think THAT, I dont even want to know you. Not that I think this outrage from Allen West is genuine; its just another nontroversy from the right, aimed at increasing the foam around the mouths of their base.
