I think many folks do not want to know the true condition of our world as it is not pleasant, and what can they do about it anyway. However, for Christians, it motivates us to prayer and the need to reach far and near those who are without a personal relationship with Christ. Without a doubt we are looking at the soon Rapture of Believers from the world and the beginning of the Tribulation where the New World Order will take effect. Unfortunately, the NWO will be under the Antichrist who is Satans front man to lead the world in worship of Lucifer (eventually) and the destruction of Israel (not completely) half way through the Tribulation. For those who turn to Christ, both Jews and Gentiles, it will lead to a time (toward latter part of Trib) where the Lord says, Revelation 14:13 (NASB) 13 And I heard a voice from heaven, saying, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on! Yes, says the Spirit, so that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow with them. A time where believers are so cruelly hunted down and beheaded (most) that they are blessed by death rather than life here on earth. I rest in the promise of eternal life in Christ to all who believe in Him as Savior and to know that we who believe now will not see the horror that will come to this present world.
