I think race feedback is important so here goes! I was in Oz from Canada for the Christmas holidays with my boyfriends family. I signed up for the race because it fit nicely into my schedule, seemed like a good personal objective and also a good way to vacation and see another part of Oz. Ive wanted to get into trail running for a while after many years on the roads. It was such an amazing race. So well organized and friendly. Scenic and challenging too. I wrote a couple of emails in the lead up to the race and they were both answered quickly and kindly which I really appreciated. It felt very personal. I hope to be back sometime soon to conquer some of the hills I walked now that I know the course. I think I inspired some of my local support crew spectators to start running so thats good! To anyone considering the race for the first time....make sure to do some hill and trail specific training. I also think the body holds up better in a trail shoe. I had a bit of a flimsy road shoe on and felt every rock and root so my body is definitely feeling it! Im still walking a bit funny but proud to take my sore quads onto my trans-pacific flight home :-) Keep up the good work Two Bays!
