I think the real reason why other countries are doing so much better than we are in various ways is because they care. We SAY we care but our actions say otherwise. A country may be absolutely torn apart by war, but the next generation will rebuild it. Why? Not because their parents gave them everything. Not because they flunked out of or skipped school. Not because they held grudges or discriminated against others or took what life gave them for granted. Its because they wanted a change. They saw what needed to be fixed and they went after it. They took the high road through life and worked on bettering themselves instead of tearing down others. They were proud to be educated. They were proud to work hard. They were proud to solve problems. They were proud to go farther than those before them. Our country has lost ambition. We cant keep blaming the rest of the population for our lack of effort. Its time we take responsibility for ourselves and get this country back to how it should be. Peaceful, educated, informed, safe, and free. #dropsthemic
