I think wed mentioned the famous (infamous?) ghost hunter Harry - TopicsExpress

I think wed mentioned the famous (infamous?) ghost hunter Harry Price on here some while ago..... particularly regarding some aspersions cast on his character over the years (though mainly) since his death...!? Well..... I was leafing through some books earlier and came across a mention of one strange incident - the main one I recall reading previously - involving journalist and paranormal researcher Charles Sutton. It was apparently Sutton who reported one of the most damning happenings that seemingly points towards Price actually faking alleged paranormal incidents during investigations at Borley Rectory during the late 1920s. During one of the investigations, Sutton was apparently hit on the head by a pebble and - on a hunch - he grabbed at Price.... only to find his pockets filled with bricks and pebbles!? It is recorded that Price could not offer an explanation for this event!? His claim was supported by the then residents of the rectory who said that, in their time there (just under a year) they had not experienced any paranormal activity whatsoever....!? I must admit that its somewhat refreshing to actually hear of a paranormal researcher blatantly faking activity for a result........ In this day and age, the bulk of weird happenings reported at allegedly haunted sites seem to ALSO be generated by ghost enthusiasts and their ilk...... though purely through a heady mixture of hysteria, wishful thinking and biased shenanigans, it seems!? Chuckle!!
