I think weve been so indoctrinated to believe we are so inept, so below intelligence that we cant handle the truth, we cant know the truth because it would be more than we could digest and chaos would break out everywhere if we did. But even though this is a very clear message sent out daily to the masses, I believe we can and must handle it. As more and more is revealed to us about whats been going on under our noses without our awareness, we often feel guilty, or stupid even...so we deny its very existence, because the truth is that weve been hoodwinked. But there is no shame in this...when someone deliberately deceives us, we ought not feel shame for our ignorance. We need to stop protected the image of the groups we belong to out of fear that the deeds of one smear the whole group; or the deeds of some shame the whole family, country or species. Fear of shame and blame are the fuel that keeps us enslaved and ignorant. The one thing I am really aware of lately is the truth coming out in small bits, but also wrapped in more lies, so that when one part of the story is declared false then the whole story becomes false to the masses. We might want to use our inner knowing to discern the bits of truth within these news stories; and when we find it allow the anger, allow the sorrow, but dont allow it to consume us. Think of the absolute worst thing possible having happened, planned maybe even...and let yourself imagine that for a minute...then remember we have not been destroyed by it in the shadow...therefore in the light it will not destroy us either. We can handle the truth...but not with fear...fear will only cloud our minds and keep us from making sound decisions. Meet the truth with compassion, awareness and just realize the darkness in this world is also in us, shine the light and forgive and we will be just fine. I do think some of this truth is pretty ugly...but feeding it more shame, retaliation or revenge, is not going to turn that into something good. More war will not cleanse the previous wars...I see a lot of things being revealed these days, things Ive learned about many years ago...but the key here is to really get it ...that knowing it will not kill us....so many people are terrified of knowing the truth...realize that if its been going on all along, or happened in the past and you learn about it today...clearly it cannot kill you...clearly knowing about it can only empower us to make better choices today and in our future... I believe we can handle the truth...meet it with love...with compassion and understanding...meet it with anger and sorrow...but dont stay there...allow others to talk about what they know, or what they feel and invite in discussion. Its the secrets and illusions that are destroying us...its the fear of the unknown ....not the unknown that is the problem.
