I told myself I wasnt going to talk politics on Facebook anymore, - TopicsExpress

I told myself I wasnt going to talk politics on Facebook anymore, but after reading a few recent post from some of my FB friends, I just cant edit myself. We seem to have lost our way as a Country! And there is plenty of blame to go around on Both Republicans and Democrats. What has happened to our Nation and our ability to govern? We seem to to have lost the ability to reach across the political table and compromise on anything. You may not have liked Ronald Reagan or Bill Clinton (I voted for both) but they were both master communicators. Now I dont know what the answer is. What I do know is, what were doing isnt working, and doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is crazy. Sorry Ill shut up!!!......No wait, one more thing. If youll remember as Bill Clinton was approaching the end of his term in office we as a Nation were approaching a balanced budget. And when Al Gore and George Bush were campaigning for the presidency. Al Gore run on the belief that we should take the projected surplus of income and put it in a lock box for the future and George Bush ran on how we should cut taxes and give the money back to the people. Then when Al Gore won the popular vote by 48.4% to Bushs 47.9% but Bush won the electoral vote and became President. That moment in time was the birth of our political divide, from which we have yet to recover. Now its just my opinion but I cast blame on the Tea party, They have destroyed the republican party as we knew it. Republicans cant seem to agree amongst themselves much less compromise with democrats. So Ill say what Ive said before, We need to vote out of office EVERY career politician be they Republicans or Democrats. We need a NEW YOUNG INDEPENDENT GOVERNMENT that does whats best for our country not a political party.
