I totally understand that not everyone in the medical field is aware of what spina bifida is and what it effects...but yesterday i was absolutely flabbergasted at the lack of professionalism and common sense from a therapist at Macdonalds physical therapy where i had to go to prove i need a wheelchair... I was asked ...not once... not twice or even three times if i could walk or stand up but ... but 7 times ...and that was NOT suffice... this chic actually made me try to stand up ... im not sure where in the rule book this seems like a good idea but talk about humiliating... I sure hope i passed the i need a wheelchair test because mine is literally falling apart around me... and my new one is in ... such bullshit i have to go threw....
