I tried to write a piece on feminine gravity. I tried to write it - TopicsExpress

I tried to write a piece on feminine gravity. I tried to write it dispassionately and with detachment. God I so suck at that kind of writing. But to write the way I am comfortable with makes me present as a person, bloody and human and vulnerable. Feminine gravity is the pull some women possess that draws in people around them. It can be the matriarch of a family, the one who seems to hold things together when the shit hits the fan for any family member. It can be the woman at work everyone likes, trusts, enjoys being around. And it can exist in a woman as emotional attraction. In hind sight that’s what was present when I first met Kathi. She exuded a pull so strong that it both frightened and intrigued me. My sense of being drawn toward her was so strong it overcame my fear of rejection or dismissal. I had to speak to her. That same pull exists today. There is something that happens that is complementary to our separate energies that allows us to feel whole when we are in the same room. Something that mixes well exists that makes of us a thing bigger than the sum of our separate selves. It continues to puzzle us. We’ve talked about it, wondered over it, but for my money it’s her feminine gravity that started this relationship and continues to sustain it day to day. Love that feminine gravity!
