I understand what you and others who agree with this are saying. Im just on the respectfully disagree side - I do not think that there is a moment where a white person has a pass to call a black person a Nigga, Nigger, Nigah, whatever and however they want to say, pronounce or justify it. The reason they do have a pass is because the black culture today and I would posit from the last 30 years has been so far removed and dis-interested in the past struggles of their black ancestors that saying nigga, nigger, etc., became acceptable and so pervasive on the street, in the music and videos and in the common vernacular of the urban and suburban high school and college culture that white people were gathered into a culturally inclusive dirt-devil language shift. Its extremely odd, because you will not find a reciprocal language shift with the white culture - i.e., there has not been a taboo word or phrase that has somehow shifted from a bad phrase abut white people to now a good phrase or an understandable phrase. Because white culture is the power culture, despite what many blacks today may feel, they are in charge always of everything that happens. Blacks do not keep that in mind, especially when it comes to events that affect them. We have always been, and will always be ignorant of our past and things that hurt us as a culture. Allowing ANYONE to call us a Nigga does not help us in my opinion.
