I use to have to pluck chicken feathers and string beans shuck corn pull potatoes..I mean that was hard work..my grandparents insisted my aunt (only 2 yrs older than me) and I work on th McCloud Packing Farm railroad platform in Seabrook SC for 50 cents an hour during our summer break from school.
