I used to be strict on my time allowed at the gym. 60 min weight training was max. Never ever one minute past. Why? I read about the effect it had on cortisol and believed that to build muscle properly I should never train longer than that. Well, then I stopped being scared. And then I quit following that rule. And now I dont follow any rules. I train until Im done. Be it 5 min or far past the hour. Evidently it hasnt killed my muscle size because I keep on packing some on.
