I voted no on the motion to suspend the rules and agree to the conference report (final version, which reconciles differences between the House and Senate) for #HR3080, Water Resources Reform and Development Act (WRRDA) of 2014. Although far from perfect, I supported the House version of WRRDA when it passed the House in October of last year. Heres my previous vote explanation: facebook/repjustinamash/posts/633762713329805. Unfortunately, I could not support the bill that came out of conference. The conference agreement includes some of the positive reforms I supported in the House version, but it spends substantially more, shifting more of the costs for state and local projects to the federal government. It also establishes new loans and loan guarantee programs that impose unwise risks on taxpayers. Overall, the conference agreement authorizes over $2.5 *billion* more than the House version over the next five years. It passed 412-4.
