I want to share a little of what i have learned about our authority and the authority of the devil. i first want to say that the devil has NO authority to do anything upon the earth, he is completely and utterly defeated foe who cannot do a thing to harm anyone. The second thing i want to say is that the devil only has authority to do what the church allows it to do. where the church is complicit with the devil, he is free to without impunity ravage people in the places where the church allows him access. This truth has real and grave consequences, for when the church sees and resists him in an area, his hands are tied and he is judged and his works are also judged; this may take years to unfold in cases, but it is true. What this really means is that what is happening in the world today is either the process of the works of the devil being judged, or the free reign he is given by the church to reign in the places in the spirit realm the sons of God are meant to reign. You and i are the only instruments God has chosen for judgment upon the earth, and we better realize it is not to condemn men and destroy, but to release and deliver. I have seen this dynamic worked out in my life too many times when confronting the work of the devil. Father gives us a sword to deliver from the chains of the enemy and we come back presenting Father the severed head of one we were sent to save. I had a dream once where a huge powerful demon was in the halls of a prison and people were in great fear, but funny thing was the demon could do NOTHING because he was wounded and could not move except very slow, too slow to catch anyone. his only power was when someone came within his reach and let him grab them in a tight grip. The other thing was is the prison doors were wide open and the only thing keeping people in the prison was the fear that this immobilized devil would get them. Only in agreeing with the enemy does he have power. Are you willing to ask Father, What places in my thinking am i in agreement with the devil?
