I want to share this post from a family preparedness group Im in. Listen up ladies. Tiffani Stuart Samantha Stuart 9 hrs · Edited STAYING VIGILANT I want to remind everyone to always be aware of your surroundings. I know we all get busy, I know I do, but we must be vigilant. Yesterday I had a very scary thing happen to me and it reminded me I must pay closer attention. In the town where I live there are no stores of any kind so I must travel. One town has Wal-mart and another has the grocery store I shop at. It is about a 30 mile circuit that I do when I go out. When I was in wal-mart I noticed a guy who was looking at me kind of weird but I really didnt pay any attention. We left wal-mart at about the same time and he followed me to the next town where I was doing my grocery shopping. This is not unusual in this area since not many roads connect these towns. I pulled into the grocery store parking lot and he pulled into the gas station in the same plaza. When I came out of the store I went over to get gas and he was till there just sitting in his car. We started pumping gas at the same time. I looked him straight in the eye and let him see me holding my keys in my hand with them sticking straight out between my fingers. (I learned a long time ago not to act afraid or nervous because they will see you as an easy target). As I was finishing a group of bikers pulled in, I was nervous about the guy so I went to talk to them, giving him time to leave. As I was leaving he pulled out of another parking lot further down the road and followed me. I went to the police station which was locked because the only police officer was on patrol. The guy was still behind me and I would be on a seldom used road in less that two min. I went back to the gas station and the bikers where still there filling up there bikes. I know that a lot of people are nervous when a group of bikers are together but Im not, most of them are great people. I told the bikers what was going on and they said that they would follow me until they thought I would be safe and then go to the police station for me. They followed me about 4 miles and then turned around and went back to the town we had just left. When I got home I called the police and they said that the bikers had stopped in and gave them the information. I also learned from the police that the guy who was following me matched the description of someone who was wanted for attempted abduction of another woman the day before. Thank you to those bikers for saving my life.
