I want to strt a debate over the immagration issue and I challege anyone who may disagree with the point. America is a nation a imagrants, but when I look at the population of imagrants to this country, I see hardly no black people. There r only a handful of africans coming here and the Hatians and Jamacans get turned back on the boat. It seems to be a flood of latinos into this country and not all latinos work on farms and restaurants. A lot have really good jobs or businesses. I have been restaurant manager for yrs and I dont see a shortage of black people applying for these jobs, but I do see employers only hiring latinos or other non blacks. I guess the point Im tryn to make is, what happens to black people in this country. With the demographics changing in this country in the latino favor, what happens to black interest and the black population? Theyve already takin over the new minority and r gaining on the white population. No... I dnt mind people coming to this country, but I do think u shud come with at least the attitude of being american. Too many mexicans and latinos look at me as if Im a nigga, as if we need more racism in this country. More and more I see the black and latino population not gtting along, although we kinda in the same boat. Who are all these latino people coming here? Mexico, central america and part of south american have the highest murder and gang rates in the world. Are those people coming here?? All Im saying is, I see latinos and other immagrants coming here and gttn some oppurtunities tht some black folks can only dream of. Are all black people at the bottom of the tottom pole? No! But we literally built this country. We plowed the fields, picked the cotton and built all the road and railroads. We struggled through slavery and continued the struggle for centurys after tht. Only to see other groups come in the country and reap the benefits? In the meantime, they build plenty more prisons to house the black folks who r left or the ones who can get degrees. They will hold the most non violent felony against black people for life, while evry undocumented immagrant has committed a felony tht goes unenforced. I know this is a lot, but these are a few of many tuff question I think black people shud ask themselves while our population and existance in this country deminish to little or nothin. Remember... all other people r migrating or have migrated to this country. We are the only ones who didnt ask to come, but were the ones treated most like shit!!
