MTN Business Kenya got in touch with me to partner in their CSR activity dubbed 21 days of Yello Care in which they chose Maralal DEB Primary as a school of their choice to put up a modern ICT hub and library for the school and the neighbouring community. The only challenge was that DEB has an incomplete structure for the computer lab which the MTN team requested that as Samburu County we complete then they can undertake their project. I am so happy that East African Portland Cement Company has responded to my request that they donate 200 bags of cement for the completion of the building. I am following up on a few other corporates to donate iron sheets for the same. The Ministry of Education also responded by donating 400K to Lchoro Lelerai Primary School. If any of us can share which corporates I can get in touch with on the iron sheets, we shall be good to go and the dream of having an IT hub for our children will be realized.
