I want to take a moment today to be truly thankful. A year ago I couldnt imagine my life filled with cuddles, giggles, and smiles. Today, its all I live for. I havent heard a single negative remark for not being married or quite ready for such a challenge. Ive only received overwhelming love and support. Gabriel will be 8 weeks tomorrow and we still havent had to buy a single need for him, which has given us the opportunity to focus on him fully. Family and friends have embraced this right along with us and I can never repay it. Im thankful for my mom, who raised me as a strong woman capable of anything (even this daunting task) - I have the best teacher. Gabes grandparents are spoiling him rotten with love and kisses. And outfits! Im thankful for baby Gabriel for being a new baby having to deal with a new mommy and a new daddy, too. And he still loves us to pieces it seems! While I cant think of a single person in my life Im not thankful for right now, there are 2 who deserve the most thanks: My love and partner who helped me make such a precious and beautiful baby boy, Michael Ehrhart for being patient, kind and loving to his new family - and for keeping Mommy laughing when she needs it too. I wouldnt choose anyone else as Daddy. My best friend and sister, Tiffinyanne Bernal for thinking of absolutely everything and making sure we have it. For being my rock even when she has her own family and health to manage. And for being the perfect example of a great mom. To everyone who has given gifts, kissed and hugged the little cuddle machine, and even so much as congratulated me, I am forever grateful for the love we have received.
