I want to tell you about a little girl I knew as she grew up. One - TopicsExpress

I want to tell you about a little girl I knew as she grew up. One day, right before Christmas, she asked me to take her to see the Christmas lights. I agreed. I knew of a house on the pink streets in St. Pete that decorated their house with hundreds of thousands of lights. Dont know if they still do it or not, but it was a sight to behold. We parked a couple blocks away because many people came to see it. We got to the property and started to walk around it. They let people in their yard to look. It was then this little girl saw people throwing trash in the yard and told me how it angered her to see people do that. I agreed and said I didnt think it was right either. She said she wanted to help and we started cleaning up the yard. After about 20 minutes or so, the people came out and asked what we were doing and the little girl explained. They thanked us and we continued cleaning up. The people invited us inside, gave us cookies and got coco, and thanked us. We left and never really talked about it again. I watched this little girl grow up, grow into a woman. She has always put others before herself, sometimes even when it was not in her interest and even her determent. She struggled in middle school and high school even though she was and is extremely intelligent. Even now, she is struggling, trying to find her way. She has a court date coming up soon, and I hope it goes well for her, but even more than that, I hope she finds herself, and finds the right path. Her path through this life, before she allowed herself to be influenced by others, was a righteous one. It was pure. I hope and pray she finds that again. Im not saying she is a bad girl. Shes not, never was. She has just fell off the path she was born to be on. I hope she finds it. I didnt say her name, not because Im embarrassed of her. Im not. Im proud of her. Always have been. Just want her to know.... I know who she really is, who she was and who she is capable of being, and would love to see her realize her potential and find herself. I love you.
