I want to thank my sister, Cathy Mann, for nominating me for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. I accept her challenge in honor of my first husband and father of my son, Eric Street. Bill Street was and still is an inspiration to everyone who knew him because with courage and dignity he faced the devastating effects of this horrible illness. To move this awareness forward, I nominate, JoMarie McGinnis Schultz, Thomas H. Justice III, Deborah Spitzer, Shelley Rose Kessinger Jennings,and Kay K Robinsonto accept this challenge. As you may be able to tell, our audio is not working well; but our video shows we met the challenge!! In the next month, I will let all of you know about the next chapter of this challenge, where I will ask family and friends to walk/donate for The Street Team in the Walk Defeat ALS in Washington, D.C. on November 1st. For those of us who walk, I have a t-shirt to show our pride and purpose :
