I wanted to get this out of my head before I fell asleep tonight. - TopicsExpress

I wanted to get this out of my head before I fell asleep tonight. Yesterday I took Khaleesi to the Vet’s to get some blood tests done. On the way home I saw in the middle of the road, on the south side of Burbank Boulevard between Hayvenhurst Avenue and Balboa Boulevard, a cat that had been hit by cars. It was dead. It had been a very large beautiful grey cat, most probably loved by someone. Did it get out and lost, or did they in their ignorance let it roam? I could not pass by and let it stay there in the road to be ground into unidentifiable meat. So, I did a UTurn and stopped the car blocking the lane just behind where he [I think it was a he] lay torn to bits in the road, and put on my hazards. I had some plastic lawn bags in my car, so I put two of them together to gather him up and take him to the West Valley Animal Shelter. If he had been someone’s kitty, perhaps there was a microchip intact in the poor torn corpse. He was still barely in one piece, a few more hits and he would have been torn apart. He was very heavy, limp and lifeless. He weighted maybe 15 to 20 pounds. He so reminded me of my kitty Earl Gray Blackadder I had to force myself not to weep. I put him in the trunk and tied up the bag. I made it home and put Khalessi in her condo, and went back outside to put his bag in a large moving box. I had a closer look at him, the left side of his face was shattered from the impact with the car that hit him, and it looked like it may have broken his back. I hope so, I pray that he died instantly. Then it looked like subsequent impacts shattered his forelegs and rear legs. He was a mess of compound fractures. I said a few prayers over him, tied the bag up, put it in the box and sealed it up. I took him to the West Valley Shelter so that they could scan for a microchip. I could not bear staying to see if he had one or not. I needed to get away. Perhaps I should have stayed, but I had had enough for one night. What I ask, is so important to speed along so that you cannot control your vehicle enough to not strike and kill an animal, or person for that matter. What reason for such a rush to leave said animal to die alone in the road and NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR ACTIONS! What kind of uncaring worthless accursed beings act in such a malignant manner. Also, for the subsequent impacts, why run over a body in the road, when you can avoid it. There was not a lot of travel on the road that night. A person could avoid hitting the poor broken body if they cared, but obviously they do NOT CARE. So, here are my prayers for the Murdered Grey Kitty, I pray you go into Ubastet’s arms and rest, and that your next life be a better one, with a life and death in the arms of people who love and care for your properly. For the malignant being who hit him, even if it was an accident YOU left him in the road to die and be torn apart. He was so large you could not have missed the impact. For you accursed beings, I CURSE YOU, with every fibre of my being, I pray that someday soon you feel the same pain as that poor kitty, and that NO ONE comes to your aid. Genesthoi! Genesthoi! Genesthoi!
