I wanted to post another Rico update as I know a lot of you are waiting to hear. I am very happy to say tonight after I gave Rico his meds, I checked the swelling on his head and neck. The swelling has completely gone from the top of his head. Its still slightly on the back of it, but no longer on the top of it. Here is a video I took Friday night for someone I was talking with about this. Its not the greatest video but its the best I could do with one hand. You can see the swelling when I was slightly pushing on it. I didnt want to push too hard but I needed to show what I was seeing. I can now press on the top of his head and I get nothing but bone, which is the way it should be. Ill check him more thoroughly tomorrow morning. One of the veterinarians I was consulting with yesterday told me his case is not severe at all. There is an easy maintenance plan if needed but I was told many times these heal themselves and there is no need for a stent, that Ricos case is not severe enough. ;) Big sigh of relief to see this decreasing and his activity level rising.
