I wanted to respond to a few things that have come up in the comments in one place so that all of you have a chance to see. 1. A number of you have asked about future books in the series. YES!!! There are definitely more books coming! From inception, I planned for 12 (not including novella), and Im pleased to say that is still the plan. THE STRIKER is next, but beyond that . . . Ive given a few hints but like always wont confirm or deny :) monicamccarty/faq.php?question=when-will-you-write-fill-in-the-blanks-story-of-the-highland-guard I dont have a release date yet for THE STRIKER, but as soon as I do, you guys will be the first to know! You can always check my website as well for the latest info at monicamccarty 2. What are the hints for the last two? You guys are spoilsports! All right . . . Book #11 hint is in Chapter One of THE KNIGHT (which is still free BTW on most retailers sites monicamccarty/books/knight.php#order), and Book #12 . . . Ive been a little more closed mouthed about this one, but I will say THE HUNTER might have a good hint for one of the characters. What about Dragon? His story is definitely not finished. 3. Links! Im thrilled by all the comments about the authors notes. I sometimes worry that they are a bit of authorial indulgence, and I know they keep getting longer, but Im glad so many of you seem to be enjoying them. Im writing THE STRIKERs Authors Note right now and have to warn you that this might be the longest yet, LOL. 5. Thanks for all the feedback on book sightings. I think its my favorite part of release day :) A number of you have mentioned having pictures to post. I usually keep the photo option turned off to avoid spam or naughty pics, but Ive turned it on for now so post away! Thanks again you guys, I cant tell you how much I appreciate all the support. I wouldnt have been able to finish the series without it.
