I wanted to share some wise words on relationships from a good - TopicsExpress

I wanted to share some wise words on relationships from a good friend who has been a minister for many many years. Divorce, which means to separate from a relationship, is not condoned by God, but is conceded to as a reality for dealing with the stresses that love involves. Overcoming sin is the goal, and the use of separation, as a form of persuasion is also part of the sin, as God came to reconcile, which means re-connect, us to him. That said, marriage, or union, has four parts: 1. Before God 2. Between Couple 3. In the Community 4. To negotiate Property Much of the time, God and his will is abandoned, and the negotiation of property is promoted, as what marriage is all about. This is ultimately sin, and it reduces us, as Gods children, to making the world the master, rather than trust in the Lord, in all corcumstance. This is the core issue in many lives, as the economic conditions of the world generate fear, and people accelerate this in their own sin, rather than share one anothers burdens and in so doing, fulfill the law of Christ. The Body of Christ gets divided as the love of the world, overcomes the love of God. But it gets united as the ability to overcome the world, is embraced by the Body of Christ. The sincerity of believers, expressed in love that overcomes the world, rather than is overcome by it, is what gives the Body a testimony in the world. Otherwise, it gets conformed to the darkness, rather than stands out a as light. Blessed are those who practice reconciliation, which is the ministry of Christ, rather than excommunication, which were the practices of the pagan world. - Dave Libby Please comment whether you agree or disagree and why, and if you can, support your comments with scriptures.
