I wanted to share this FB post below posted by the wife of Brett Walls. I dont know if we had any hand in this, but Im sure your prayers, thoughts, efforts and kind words did. Lets hope this next step gets Brett to where he needs to be! We can all agree on the outcome we want to see for this family. Friends and family, I have an update regarding CPone Philip Brett status. While we are going to move forward with an external appeal for aggressive therapy, and will be filing an appeal for unitedHealthCare to cover care at Drake since last Friday (when, without warning they cut us off of coverage at Drake), we have been told that UHC has approved a transfer to Forest Hills Care Center. While its not the level of rehab we have been fighting for, it should be better then what we are getting now (next to nothing), in the short term we will not be in the street. At least I should have some time to investigate the system of Medicaid, begin to look into home mods, equipment needed for Bretts care, etc. Brett also has an appt at UC tomorrow, with the Neurologist that delivered Bretts diagnosis/prognosis to myself, my daughter Casey, and my precious beloved departed brother Georgie. I love you George. I believe you are helping from above. I love all of you who are working so hard to bring awareness to not only our story, but to a broken system, in particular UnitedHealthCares despicable approach to health care.
