I wanted to share this on what happened to my son who was trying to purchase a car. Its kinda long - irritated mama lol My son Matthew purchased a car from AutoNation Scottsdale Subaru on December 7th. When we walked in and asked about the vehicles one of the first things that was asked is if they could have the heater block put in and the vehicle shipped to Montana by the time he returned because his other car was wrecked beyond repair and he would be without a vehicle. The answer was yes, they would have the parts in by the 9th and shipped out no later than the 10th or 11th. Matthew would return on the 14th and would have the vehicle no later than the 17th. Today is the 30th and as of 12:00 PM it had not shipped. Its been one excuse after another. Matthew called on the 21st and was advised it would ship on the 24th, I called on the 22nd @ 5:10 PM and was advised I would get a call back, called again on the 23rd @ 4:10 PM again told I would get a call back I did not, called again on the 24th @ 8:33 AM spoke to Ward who first advise that he should just get a cab to his base. REALLY! He bought a damn car he should be driving! Then was told by Ward that we could pick up a check for $200 for a rental car and I would receive an email with the details. On Monday the 29th I still had not received an email or call so I went into the dealership. The excuse I got on the 29th was they were waiting for his financing to go through before shipping, I said thats incorrect he came in with a 30K check, he didnt get financing from you, then it was oh well uhm, exactly I caught you in another lie. When I asked about the rental car check I got told that I would have to call back tomorrow and it may take a few weeks. Is this the way people treat our soldiers! I called again today with nothing but a run-around and they will call you back. When I finally got someone to tell me they shipped the car at around 1:00 PM they couldnt tell me an ETA or who the shipping company was or give me a copy of the shipping order. This boy will be without a car that he is paying on for a month by the time he gets it. He shouldnt have to pay out of pocket for a rental car or the first payment and should get a refund for the shipping.
