I was at autzone at 12th and Woodrow when we all heard a crash . I walked out and check on the people and to help out till first responders arrived . I had the privilege of meeting a elderly man , Johnny Farris . He was a bit shaken but was shaken but ok . When the police arrived he showed the officer his drivers license . Then the officer showed it to me and pointed out that Mr. Farris was born in 1919 which means he was 95 years old . He had disabled veteran tag so I ask which war he was in which replied WW2. Wow !! I immediately thanked him for his service in which everyone including Fire , Medics and police did as well. Even though he was a hero in everyones eye that was there he received a ticket for failure to yield. How do you tell a hero like that , that he cant drive anymore and take his keys .
