I was at the Dr.s yesterday to have more xrays on my wrists. While I was waiting, frustrated that I had been waiting for over 45 min. already, a woman came out of the office. She looked familiar, but I couldnt think of her name, then we made eye contact, and she came running over, giving me a big hug! It was Cindy! Cindy is a dear lady who helped us with mom when she was paralyzed for months at a time. Cindy is an angel. She asked why I was there, and I told her of the past month of disasters (in my way of thinking). I told her about my accident, Wills accident, Madeleines constant sickness, and how hard it has been dealing with my own injuries, taking care of Will, and trying to manage life ... I asked her about her family, and how she had been. Well, it turns out, her mother-in-law was diagnosed with cancer last year, and passed away this year. Her husband had serious back surgery, and is totally disabled. Her father-in-law became critically ill after his wife passed, and Cindy cared for him at home until he passed away a few months ago. Cindy ended up in the hospital with a systemic kidney infection for over a week....Kinda made me want to slap myself for being such a cry baby!!! Keep everything in perspective!!! It can always be worse, and no matter how bad it gets, more than likely it will get better, eventually. Cindy reminded me of how God always carries you through. She is a dear, sweet lady who has been through an unbelievable year, and reminded me that God is good all of the time. He showers our lives with blessings that cannot be measured, like beautiful days, faithful friends, mercy, grace, and true love. Be encouraged. Wherever you are, and whatever you are going through, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble...and He really does care!
