I was born ME but have I always presented the true ME to the world? Nope. I walked the Earth in a mere daze conforming to.....who and whatever was around me...to the American Dream...to the advice of other peoples projections. My dream of being an artist was buried deep inside next to, well, the true ME. It was a mixed bag of becoming a mom, depression, divorce, bankruptcy and career inadequacy that led my ass to question how I was presenting myself to the world. This uncertainty and inadequacy in my own skin was the pull that lead me to the canvas. Each time I put paint to canvas....down the rabbit hole I went. It was dark...it was ugly. But it was there in that uncomfortable shedding of the old where I became ME.
