I was challenged by a dear friend Christine Connolly to post what the differences are between being in my 30’s and being in my 60’s (she compared being 50 to 25, and it was a riot!). So, here goes: 1. At 31, I used a comb to get the snarls out of my hair, at 61 I use it to sort the mail each day. 2. At 31, I planned my trip by determining the mileage and subsequent cost of gas. At 61, I plan my trip by determining the location of toilets on the route because of my gas. 3. At 31, I dressed to impress. At 61 I am impressed if I get dressed. 4. At 31, I could easily read the fine print. At 61 I ask myself “what fine print?” 5. At 31, I could take a day trip to my friend’s house in New Jersey, get home by 2am and still get up in time for work. At 61, I call him up and talk for a half hour and then get in bed by 9pm so I can get up in time for work. Feel free to add to the list!
